A goal is nothing but a” dream with a deadline.”

I know you hear me say this at least twice a day. Everyone around me has started saying it as a stress reducer at work. Then they look at me and laugh. But I really do need a vacation. I was reading my TO DO list for this week and I just thought to myself, does anyone really care if this doesn’t get done? Would they even notice it it wasn’t?

  • Today: Decorate outside for Fall & Christmas, change sheets, clean and restock the pantry, car wash, Post Office, bank and shopping.
  • Friday: Clean & Install storm windows, clean Kiley’s cage, get Steven’s haircut and go to the Football game.
  • Saturday: Pot up Amaryllis for Christmas, take Steven to ACT’s, send Bonnie a B-day eCard, bathe Kiley, clean the garage and weed.
  • Sunday: Plan upcoming week and decorate for Halloween.
  • Monday: Fall Regional Meeting – must attend.

This is just the A list, not the B’s or C’s, things that can be wait-listed. Now I have to wonder what would happen if any one of these item’s don’t get done? Does the whole house fall down around me? Is there some kind of earth shattering event that may take place? I’ve let the flower beds go about as far as they can go without needing to drop a match. I wonder who’s job will all this be when I’m gone? I look at this list and think… just need to suck it up and get it done. Wow… I NEED A VACATION!

I just realized that I need a post to put my notes; to organize lists, projects and life in general. If you’d like to leave a question or comment on any post,  you will need to click the top “Post Header” of the blog article you would like to comment on and it will take you to that screen.

If you want to ask me a quick genealogy question here is the post to do that!
