Yield: 2 cups

1 cup flour
¼ cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
½ cup nuts, chopped

  1. Combine flour and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in butter, until the texture of cornmeal.
  3. Mix in nuts.
  4. Place on a cookie sheet in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, stirring often to keep from turning too brown.
  5. Remove from oven when nicely browned, cool.
  6. Place in air-tight container and store in a cool place until ready to use.

* Use on open-faced pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc.
