1 (8 oz) box red, Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 pt whipping cream or 2 pkg Dream Whip
1/2 lb miniature marshmallows
1 cup drained, crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped nuts
1 small bottle of maraschino cherries
1 (8 in) angel food cake

  1. Dissolve Jello in boiling water in large mixing bowl. Stir well.
  2. Add cold water. Chill until syrupy.
  3. Beat syrupy Jello until fluffy.
  4. Whip cream.
  5. Drain and chop cherries.
  6. Fold, whipping cream, marshmallows, pineapple, nuts and cherries into whipped Jello.
  7. Break up angel food cake into bite-size pieces.  Arrange one-half of cake on bottom of cake pan or punch bowl.
  8. Pour half of Jello mixture over cake pieces. Repeat layers of cake and Jello mixture.
  9. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  10. May be topped with additional whipped cream, chopped nuts and/or cherries when served.
