1 (8 oz) box red, Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 pt whipping cream or 2 pkg Dream Whip
1/2 lb miniature marshmallows
1 cup drained, crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped nuts
1 small bottle of maraschino cherries
1 (8 in) angel food cake
- Dissolve Jello in boiling water in large mixing bowl. Stir well.
- Add cold water. Chill until syrupy.
- Beat syrupy Jello until fluffy.
- Whip cream.
- Drain and chop cherries.
- Fold, whipping cream, marshmallows, pineapple, nuts and cherries into whipped Jello.
- Break up angel food cake into bite-size pieces. Arrange one-half of cake on bottom of cake pan or punch bowl.
- Pour half of Jello mixture over cake pieces. Repeat layers of cake and Jello mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- May be topped with additional whipped cream, chopped nuts and/or cherries when served.
The road goes on forever, but the party never ends.
