Father’s Day is a day of commemoration and celebration of Dad. It is a day to not only honor your father, but all men who have acted as a father figure in your life – whether as Stepfathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, or “Big Brothers.” Take a few minutes and show Dad that you love and appreciate him. Start early.

Anthony, my husband is the most amazing Father, I have ever known. We’re celebrating “Father’s Day!” My son, Craig is a Father and Mandy’s hubby Alan is a Father and Brandy’s hubby is a Father and they all need to be, “Celebrated and Thanked,” for a job well done. On Mother’s Day, I’m treated like a “QUEEN” and I think it’s my responsibility to show him how I love and appreciate him, as the father of my children. And them as the Father’s of my grandchildren, and when the Grands are grown, the Father’s of my Great-Grandchildren. It’s a cycle… Love is taught and shown by actions. It’s not about the price of any gift involved; it’s truly a Labor of Love. My effort is his gift – he knows by the amount of effort, I put into it, that I truly love and appreciate him. If you want to be loved and respected, you must first love and respect. Then you’ll gladly, celebrate the Day. ~ Sheila Jean Adkins Metcalf
