8 c. water
1 ¼ c. sugar
1/3 c. culinary lavender
1 ½ tsp. Grated lemon zest
1 c. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
Lime slices for garnish

In a large saucepan, combine 3 cups water, sugar, lavender and lemon zest. Bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring until dissolves. Remove pan from heat and let syrup stand for 15 minutes. Strain and discard lavender. In large pitcher, stir syrup, the lemon juice and remaining 5 cups of water. Serve over ice, with lime slices for garnish. Yield: 8 cups.
